At the home of John Pluecker (JP)
5036 Jefferson Street, Houston, TX 77023

(HOUSTON, April 07, 2008) – Voices Breaking Boundaries (VBB) continues its exciting Living Room Art series by exhibiting new site-specific installations by Jorge Galvan and Donna Huanca in a living room party, this time in the home of John Pluecker. Voices Breaking Boundaries’ Living Room Art series brings the visual arts to local neighborhood living rooms outside the standard gallery and museum structure; thereby making art more accessible to different audiences. This version of Living Room Art will showcase art installations connected to Galvan’s and Huanca’s family histories and countries of origin—Mexico and Bolivia respectively. As always, the evening includes music, food and much more.

“Living Room Art visual exhibitions continue to be the most organic shows that we present,” says VBB Founding Director Sehba Sarwar. “The work of Galvan and Huanca will be site-specific, and in the end, the exhibit will be a conversation between the home, the art, and the people who are present for that one evening. JP has opened his home to the city and to the artists. We invite all to join us.”
