Lee High School's Summer 2008 Workshop

This summer, VBB continues its student and teacher workshops at Lee High School:

Slam Poetry Summer Workshops
Open to all 13-19 year olds in the Houston area
At Lee High School (6529 Beverly Hill, Houston, TX 77057)
Room 114

June 5th-July10th
Tuesdays, Wednesdays, & Thursdays 3:30-5:30pm

This free workshop will provide students with writing, revision and performance skills so they can perform in poetry slams in the city and across the country. Students will be writing and performing original pieces with the assistance of Houston-based slam poets. Four students will be selected to travel and compete in Washington, D.C. at the Brave New Voices International Youth Poetry Slam Festival starting July 15, 2008.
All this is at no cost! Snacks and refreshments provided daily. Sign-up now!
