::Community is an essential component to improving the quality of life::

One of the things I learned from VBB is that an organization whose mission is to help people should do just that, because when it does, as VBB has on countless occasions, the end result is potent.
Intern Shannon Garth-Rhodes

Voices Breaking Boundaries (VBB) is a nonprofit arts organization open to artists, individuals and organizations from a multitude of perspectives, backgrounds and countries. From a humble start five years ago as a grassroots literary collective organized by five diverse women poets and writers hosting readings at a local bookstore, VBB now produces more than 10 performance events annually at local venues and curates regular exhibitions in its shotgun house on the Project Row Houses (PRH) campus; offers educational residencies and performances to local youth and adults; and provides a support network for writers to practice, publish, perform and receive recognition for their work.
