::Community is an essential component to improving the quality of life::

One of the things I learned from VBB is that an organization whose mission is to help people should do just that, because when it does, as VBB has on countless occasions, the end result is potent.
Intern Shannon Garth-Rhodes

Voices Breaking Boundaries (VBB) is a nonprofit arts organization open to artists, individuals and organizations from a multitude of perspectives, backgrounds and countries. From a humble start in 1999 ago as a grassroots literary collective organized by five diverse women poets and writers hosting readings at a local bookstore, VBB now produces East End Live Art events, produces living room art shows; and offers educational workshops for teachers and youth. Since its inception, VBB is known for providing opportunities for artists, youth, educators, and activists to receive recognition for their work.
